Why do design prices range?
Design work is a very creative process, nothing is cut and dry. A logo design for example, could take 3 times as long for one person as it would for another, depending on how complex the client wants it. Unfortunately this means that we can't have set prices for products. We never want to leave you in the dark, so Paper Scraps offers price ranges, so that you have a general idea of how much a design product will cost.
How do you decide if something will cost more or less?
At Paper Scraps we define how much something will cost based off of how many hours are spent on a project. We always discuss a clients budget before we begin working on a product, so we know what our limit is. If something is taking longer than expected we notify our clients if the price is going to be more than the original estimate. We have phone calls with our clients on a regular basis to update them on the progress of a product and the pricing, so there are never any surprises.
How do I pay for something if I don't know how much it will cost?
Paper Scraps has different payment protocol depending on the size of a project. Typically a client will pay 50% of the minimum price range before the project begins, and the additional 50% percent, or the rest of the bill after the project is finished.
